An evening in the spirit of jazz

In a close collaboration with Jazzselskabet Aarhus you are hereby invited to an experimental evening with lots of dancing on the Persian carpets! Join us on a magical tribute journey to jazz when turquoise is visited by two young jazz bands who will present us with beautiful melodies and complex rhythms.

VINGBORG/VALENCIA

Vingborg/Valencia is a newer name on the Aarhus jazz scene. The quartet's compositions are characterized by a curiosity and urge to create. The music is easy to immerse oneself in and almost meditative in its form. Sounds are at the same time minimalistic and jazzy, but also manage to spread beyond jazz's own ranks. The focal point is simple but strong melodies, which draw threads to the Nordic jazz scene. With a special love for old folk songs, the quartet plays into their very own sound universe; a universe that is relaxing, dreamy and challenging.

JUNO

JUNO is a young band consisting of five musicians who met at the prestigious Jazz Academy in Trondheim, Norway. Their catchy pop tunes combine complex groovy rhythms, rap and experimental improvisation. The band encapsulates danceable music with surprising twists and captivating musical depth, resulting in exciting and energetic live performances.
