It will be an extraordinary night when some of the strongest impro-voices in the north combined with new local talents takes the stage at turkis - in a close collaboration with Sun Ship, DJM and MGK-Ø.
Fire! are a nordic, experimental supergroup, who has existed since 2009 with Mats Gustafsson (sax), Johan Berthling (bas) and Andreas Werlin (trommer) in the core. The recognized and critically acclaimed constellation has flourished over the years in unique compositions both large and small, but always with a completely new take on improvised music that draws on equal parts free jazz, psychedelic rock and noise.
Fire! Orchestra CBA - Community Based Activity - is the bands latest original project. CBA is based on a combination of the core of Fire! Orchestra's members, and local students from DJM and MGK-Ø, who during several days of intense workshops are introduced to completely new music that has been written for the occasion. The result will thus be a completely unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience when Fire! Orchestra takes the stage with local music students. This November-saturday is going to be a night to remember!
