This choral work will be performed by the composer/musician Anja T. Lahrmann and choirs from Greenland. It is a hybrid work, which addresses the topics of identity and origin, human nature and healing.
With roots in the town of Aasiaat in Greenland, the composer/musician Anja T. Lahrmann drew her inspiration for this work by an urge to examine the nuances of the emotions and states associated with being formed by two cultures in the enduring wake of colonialism.
Identity and origin, human nature and healing are reflected in both the text and the basic musical form of the work, which features a compilation of individual compositions, together creating a hybrid crucible. On this basis, the music flits freely in and out of Greenlandic, Danish and English, and ranges from hymn-inspired pieces and electronic song to through-composed and improvised sequences.

A day ticket costs DKK 100 (+ fee) for young people under 30 // DKK 150 (+ fee) for adults over 30.

Anne Marqvardsen and Anna Berit Asp Christesen are behind SPOR festival. Together, they seek to present the festival's audience with the latest trends in sound and tone art. They want to ensure a broad diversity in the programme, and work closely with the respective artists in their curation.
SPOR Festival is an annual festival that since 2005 has filled Aarhus with a number of different musical universes, works and performances.
