Come and be part of a truly special experience as we host film screenings, talks, and community radio in collaboration with Le Guess Who? COSMOS, Sydhavnsbølgen, and Radiofolk.
Everything will take place outdoors in the Oasis, right next to turkis, on both Friday and Saturday – as part of Roots&Hybrid 2025 and SPOT.

What is a community radio? And why is it important and community-shaping – both locally and globally? We invite you to join a circle talk with Sydhavnsbølgen and Radiofolk, inspired by two Le Guess Who? COSMOS mini-films from Seoul and Vilnius.

LE GUESS WHO? COSMOS
Le Guess Who? COSMOS is a growing global network that connects and inspires musicians, venues, listeners, and communities around the world through film, radio, and interviews – always rooted in the local scenes’ own musical practices, expressions, engagements, and motivations.
These local scenes are called COSMOS Embassies, and the accompanying films are documentary in nature, featuring interviews, footage, and artistic approaches. They offer powerful and vivid insights into innovative music cultures and environments, enriching the Roots&Hybrid Festival’s presentation of the roots we each come from and the movements that matter to us – through music.
SYDHAVNSBØLGEN
Sydhavnsbølgen is a community radio station founded in 2023, based at Frontløberne. With its own studio and event space, the station is fully volunteer-run and aims to make the city feel smaller by broadcasting friends (and new friends) on FM radio. The programming prioritizes diverse voices from Aarhus’ emerging creative scenes, emphasizing quality and authenticity.
RADIOFOLK.DK
RadioFolk.dk is a non-commercial radio station for everyone interested in Danish roots and folk music in all its diversity. The station offers 24-hour streaming and a wide range of downloadable podcasts. It’s operated by the association Mediehaven, which holds a Koda license and includes board members from folk musicians, educators, festivals, and organizations like Tempi and SPOT Festival.
PANA RADIO
Pana Radio is an Aarhus-based association dedicated to promoting non-commercial music from Denmark and abroad. Their radio streams spotlight artists and DJs – especially those representing the many shades of electronic music. Pana Radio also creates inclusive communities through parties and events such as Real Friends and Full Circle, where music is always at the heart.
8000 HAPPINESS
8000 Happiness is a local event calendar for the ears – every week, you can tune in for a curated guide to diverse events and must-sees within music, art, sports, and everything community-oriented in Aarhus. The goal is to keep the show rooted in the people and highlight just how many exciting, unique happenings unfold across Aarhus every single week. It serves as both inspiration for discovering the unknown and a platform for smaller actors and artists to shine.
