ŠIROM

The Slovenian Širom trio have in recent years wandered to the far corners of their homeland to reconnect with their surroundings and find inspiration. At the same time, an ever-growing list of exotic instruments and ways to create sound-images with found objects are explored. In their practice as well as in their experience, they remain rooted in their creative process to an extent that allows them to avoid simply reflecting existing patterns. This generates an original, stylistically homogeneous form of expression that oscillates between a wide range of folk sounds and contemporary acoustic rock meditations.

TROPICO DEL CANCER

Juan Pino's minimal and poetic sound universe recalls the roots of the world and the magic of dreams. On the many trips to the Andes, the Amazon forest, Lapland and the Ganges, he has collected a bunch of instruments and impressions, and created an organic musical landscape, which is sometimes naked and acoustic, other times electronically processed, now warm and groovy, then beautifully chaotic or simply ethereal. Each concert, performance or installation is different, often containing improvisations and site-specific elements.
