FARATUBEN
Faratuben is an exciting meeting between Danish musicians and Bamako's modern underground scene for bobo music. The band has electrified the traditional bobo music with groovy mixes of synth surfaces and club beats.
With their debut album, Sira Kura, Faratuben tells a story about social inequality in Mali, where the bobo culture is still fighting for acceptance in society. But, the album is also an international call for understanding and acceptance of our differences, in an increasingly segregated world.
When Faratuben is not touring outside of Africa, the group performs at traditional ceremonies in Mali, and acts as a backing band for artists such as Salome Dembele and Ben Zabo among others.
NAMDORI
Namdori is a Tanzanian native, doing everyday life things in Aarhus. She joined the VVE Collective in late 2020, starting her djing journey.
Her carefully selected tracks will transport you into a mesmerising spell, as they did her, blending Afro-House and Baile with electronic elements that transcend boundaries.
Let yourself be swept away as Namdori's set becomes a transcendent celebration of rhythm and unity, where you become one with the music's infectious energy; creating a percussive landscape that compels your body to move, your lips to smile, and your spirit to soar.
