Experience the legendary Swedish band Väsen & Ale Möller presented by Aarhus Folk Festival at turkis. Before the concert the local trio Ragna will warm up the room!

The multi-instrumentalist Ale Möller meets Väsen, Olov Johansson and Mikael Marin, in a repertoire of newly composed and traditional music. It will be a very playful and joyfull concert, where genre boundaries cease and musicianship and interplay are at the center.

For more than 30 years, these musicians, like few others, have spread Swedish folk music not just in Sweden but around the world. Väsen separately and Ale separately. Now they make a common cause and create musical joy together!

VÄSEN

Through more than three decades of intense playing and touring, Väsen has refined their sound and stage presence, so that today they are unique within their genre. With their playful and perfect interplay, they almost seem to defy the laws of physics in an almost telepathic communication.

ALE MÖLLER

Ale Möller is a multi-instrumentalist and plays a wide range of instruments, from bouzouki, mandola to accordion, harmonica, trumpet, flutes, dulcimer and cow horn. It all started back in his youth with the trumpet and a strong relationship with jazz, grew into a passionate love affair with Greek music and continued in a deeply felt relationship with Swedish folk music.

RAGNA

Ragna has existed since autumn 2021 and consists of Stine Elbæk, violin and vocals, Carina Juul Nielsen on key harp and Thomas Birch on 12-string guitar. Ragna stands on the shoulders of Swedish folk music, but is marked by the Danish drive that the three musicians grew up with. The three musicians met at a home jam in Stine's living room in Aarhus, and came together over the shared love of the Swedish melodies and the crisp interplay of the strings with the softness and groove of the guitar.
