Blikflak presents: Jazzlab with Ahead & Clothing Club

Experience lots of joy in the music with two versions of modern jazz that cross with other styles and that will make you want to move!

This evening, the record company Blikflak and turkis join forces again and present a double concert with two forward-thinking acts, Ahead & Clothing Club. JazzLab is a new concert concept, where Blikflak curates a line-up with artists who are wholly or partially based on jazz and use expressions, traits and moods from other genres and traditions. In this version, two bands are presented, which i.a. mixes jazz with genre features from hip-hop, neo-soul and house.

AHEAD

With inspiration from various hip-hop traditions from Detroit, New York and L.A., you float in the Ahead universe between the flying, jazzy and spherical to progressive and hard-hitting bangers. It's all fused with textured sound design and dynamic progression so that you absolutely can't stand still.

CLOTHING CLUB

Forget about melancholy, despondency and loneliness. Clothing Club makes you bob your head, smile and be present in the moment. It's vibrant hip-hop/jazz with a splash of house, which merges Aarhus jazz with the dance floor of the club in Berlin. When the three musicians take the stage, the audience is invited into a present and playful space, which oozes with the joy of playing and a good mood.
