ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Aarhus Lydforening organizes, in collaboration with ROSA, DMF Aarhus, Tuborgfondet, turkis and Radar Live, a project to raise the engagement of women and gender minorities in live sound engineering and music technology. The concert is arranged as an extension of the workshop, where the participants have the opportunity to be the sound engineers behind the three artists.

JUDITH PARTS

Judith Parts is an artist, composer, music producer, violinist and a singer from Estonia, currently based in Copenhagen. Judith’s unique sound world blends pop and experimental music. She often combines acoustic instruments with electronics and field recordings, incorporating the violin and her voice.

CHRISTINA GRAMSTRUP MADSEN

Christina Gramstrup Madsen is a producer, songwriter and sound artist. She focuses on electronic pop as well as experimental music. Through her compositions, she provocatively enhances the narrative within a dark electronic atmosphere, blending sampled sounds from nature and her DIY electronics with rhythms and synth.

SILJE MARIE

Silje Marie is an Audio Designer (master) from Aarhus University who works artistically with sound in various formats. In her live performances, she uses her home-built synthesizer 'Sandthesizer', which contributes with quirky electronic fragments to the soundscape and at the same time a beautiful visual side to the performance, as the synthesizer plays by moving sand over an illuminated surface.
