The big band is on tour with a concert under the name: "We Are DYJO". The orchestra has created the repertoire for the concert itself, and each musician is responsible for choosing, composing or arranging one number on the set list. Each track is accompanied by a short story from the musicians about why that particular track was chosen. Thus, "We Are DYJO" is a unique opportunity to get close to the orchestra's musicians when they feel most at home: in big band music.

The Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra is an up-and-coming youth big band on the Danish jazz scene. The orchestra consists of the region's burgeoning talents emerging in the Danish jazz milieu, and functions both as a young elite big band and as a talent development base in the Central Jutland region. The Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra makes room for the wild, quirky and experimental - but rooted in the traditional. The orchestra is led and conducted by drummer, composer and conductor John Riddell (b. 1995), who is one of the most sought-after young drummers in Denmark.
