Shiva Feshareki ☉ turkis x SPOR

SPOR and turkis invite you in for a solo concert with Shiva Feshareki.

Shiva Feshareki´s composition range includes everything from orchestra, solo, choir, chamber, electronic, and interdisciplinary installation works. Describing Shiva’s music is far from straightforward when the breadth of expression and range of compositions encompasses everything from orchestral, solo, choral, chamber, electronic and interdisciplinary installation works. At the core of her work, Shiva creates experiences that reveal the fluid and infinite interplay between sound and the physics of space; the interconnection between the essential nature of sound and our living experiences. Shiva uses an array of technology from vintage analogue tape echo, vinyl turntables, CDJs to state-of-the-art 360° ambisonic technology. Her tools also extend beyond electronic technology, using her own advanced 3D orchestration methods.

Shiva Feshareki (GB, 1987) is a British-Iranian composer, artist, and turntablist. She holds a Doctorate of Music in composition from the Royal College of Music (2017), and is the winner of the BBC Young Composer’s Award from 2004, The Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize from 2009, and the Ivor Novello Award for Innovation from 2017. Over the last decade, she has been a pioneer at the leading edge of both contemporary classical and electronic & dance music scenes. She has performed across the world in concert halls, art galleries, festivals, and raves, just as she has worked alongside a number of notable artists and ensembles.

Heidi Mortenson aka Phtalo is DJ’ing after the concert

Heidi Mortenson aka Phtalo is an electronic composer and producer. Mortenson has a long solo career counting 6 studio albums and her own label Wired Records. She has played in all of Europe for 20 years and had three tours in the US and Canada. She has remixed Laurie Anderson, Austra and Else Marie Pade and has 8 Gaffa Award nominations for solo releases. She has made sound installations for visual artist Mette Winckelmann and soundtracks for experimental dance and film, as well as theater. And then Mortenson has her own podcast My House In Your Haus, about electronic music, via The Lake Radio. With the non-binary artist name Phtalo, they will release a new album on the 30th of June.
