KOSHI WASA

Koshi Waza is an Aarhusian quartet that seeks to unite groovy beats with pop melodies in playful instrumental jazz music. The band takes its name from a series of throwing techniques in judo, all of which include the use of hips - hips that can also be used when you are hit by the music, and like mushin in judo, Koshi Waza provides an obvious opportunity for you to forget yourself a little and get absorbed in the moment.

PALADS

Based on world music, Palads pulls in musical threads from several corners of the world and weaves them together into original compositions. Eight flourishing musicians merge into one mighty musical body. Let yourself be led by the hand into a unique sonic adventure.

LEEEK

Leeek har fundet en solid plads mellem danseskoene i discolysets skær på alverdens dunkle dansegulv. Deres lyd er på et spektrum af funky r&b og lækker indie pop.

WOODHOUSE

A symbiosis of jazz, hip hop, R&B and neo soul. The result is an energy-filled musical experience and an invitation to let your head nod and your body move in harmony with the band's pulsating rhythms. The winner of Jazz6000's audience award 2022 leads the listeners into a hypnotizing odd-time hip-hop universe, where Balkan-inspired saxophone sound, powerful bass lines and dreamy keys unite. An energetic tour de force awaits with a band that has added a new power dimension to modern Danish jazz.

NAMDORI

DJ and dance time! Get ready for movement, good vibes and afro-house. Come and dance and fire it up to carefully handpicked numbers with rhythm and cool energy and let yourself be enveloped in Namdori's magic. With electronic enchantment and complete disconnection of worries, Namdori's sets are a transcendent celebration of rhythm and union between body and the contagious energy of music.

OMVÆNDT

Aarhus-based indie band with strong lyrics, razor-sharp productions and epic guitar solos, OMVÆNDT stands out from the crowd, and is getting ready to make its mark on the Danish music scene. We play for the long nights, the beautiful evenings and the loving moments. It is energetic and heartfelt at the same time. All the music is self-written and comes directly from the souls of young boys.

ALBATRODS

Danish-language music with catchy melodies and playful instrumentation encourages movement of body and mind. Albatrods protest against the useful and efficient society in immediate and present language. Here, complex feelings about life are folded into a blanket of whimsical and warm tones, inspired by 70s folk rock, dreamy dream pop and biting indie rock. The sound is both hopeful like the sprout of spring and longing like the decay of autumn, and with this duality Albatrods points to the most important thing in our everyday life and relationships: gentleness and warmth.

ANI EVEN

The electronic sound traveler weaves emotive narrative into pulsating synths accompanied by Gregorian chants, waltzed pads and resounding bass. From Copenhagen, Ani's music transcends borders, fusing industrial, electronic and folk-pop influences. Look forward to an experience in the electronic experimental.

WASH YOUR DIRTY MONEY WITH MY ART

Look forward to WYDMWMY, an atypical band. Michael Vitus and Tobias Kiel, the two artists in the duo experiment with and have published in several genres from neoclassical piano music to pop, generative modular music and hard techno. Their music has had airplay on P1, P3 and P4 and in a little while they will be ready for the growth team's festival in the heart of Aarhus. Chalk the dancing shoes and pull on the techno clothes when WYDMEMY comes to the city of smiles and gives a hard round of electric party.

ARKO & THE GUEST HOUSE

Frontman Mathias Rasmussen's artistic alter-ego, complemented by his dark, noisy and fully distorted band. You can justifiably call the project an embodiment of the beast in us - or perhaps even the ultimate showdown against it. With lyrics centered on lust, addiction and shame, a soundscape that can be as unpolished and harsh as it can be atmospheric and a lead vocal that is as expressive as it is burned in, Arko & the Guest House possess both the aggression and potency of punk, and the ambition to create the personal and poetic narrative as we know it from the great lyricists within folk music.

STØV

A 6-piece alternative rock band based in Aarhus, mixing a wide range of tonalities, from indie folk to dreamy, danceable post-rock soundscapes, jazz/free improvisation and mood-based atmosphere. They create their stories based on senses as well as narratives. The music embraces the lyrics like a warm, inclusive blanket with soft sounding guitar noise, playful melodies from the saxophone, earthy, danceable bass and intensity and dynamics from the drums.

TELUS

A Danish upcoming post-punk band that explores a powerful and dynamic sound that contains both uplifting melodies, the heavier shoegaze-inspired pieces, as well as big vulnerable ballads about life. TELUS moves in the borderland between post-punk, alternative and pop, where an emotional vocal merges with hard-hitting drums, catchy melodies and atmospheric sound universes.
