UNGE POETER: RELEASE CONCERT & BOOK RECEPTION

Come and experience something truly special when a group of young writers' works become the subject of other young people's songwriting, this evening at turkis.

Behind the project are Aarhus Music School and Alléskolen in close collaboration with Dokk1 and turkis.

In the project "Unge Poeter" students have received professional guidance in writing. The students have met the Aarhus author and poet, Mads Mygind, as well as library communicator Jesper Kirkegaard, poet Mathias Linaa, and slam poet Pippaluk Kevser. Over several days, the students have written their own texts about faith, hope, life, discouragement, and great joys.

All the texts have been sent to students at MGK-Ø (a state-supported course for young musical talents under the auspices of Aarhus Music School), and eight unique interpretations have emerged from that!

This evening, the MGK students will perform their 8 interpretations, and the original student texts from Alléskolen will be read by Pippaluk Kevser, who is an Aarhusian slam poet. None of the young people from Alléskolen and the MGK class know each other, and this evening is the first time they are in the same room experiencing a collaborative meeting across youth environments and forms of expression.

"Unge Poeter" is supported by Smuk Fonden, and behind the project are MGK-Ø (Aarhus Music School) and Alléskolen in close collaboration with Dokk1.
