STUNDOM
Stundom represents the sound of contemporary Nordic folk music. With a love for acoustic instruments, the trio invites audiences into their enchanting sound world inspired by film scores, chamber music, and traditional Nordic folk. Emma Kragh-Elmøe (violin), Julian Svejgaard (piano), and Villads Hoffmann (cittern) share an extraordinary chemistry that creates moments of stillness and wonder on stage.
Stundom is among Denmark’s most sought-after groups in modern Nordic folk music. They have been nominated multiple times for the Danish Music Awards Roots/Folk, including "Artist of the Year" and "Album of the Year" at the 2022 awards. At the same event, Emma, Julian, and Villads were each individually nominated as "Composer of the Year."
In early 2024, Stundom released the classical-folk live album "Fragmenter af en dans" ("Fragments of a Dance") in collaboration with Danish clarinet prodigy Jonas Frølund. On October 4, 2024, the trio followed this with their third studio album, "Hvis ikke de er døde, lever de endnu", the sequel to their critically acclaimed debut album, "Må jeg holde din hånd?" ("May I Hold Your Hand?") from 2021.
