Nordisk Dans Aarhus invites you in for a festive evening at turkis with great music, happy spirits, and of course a lot of dancing! During the evening, you will experience the Kongsted, Nielsen, and Thorhauge trio and Mens Vi Venter På Bølgen-Band who will both get our feet started and warm with some of the finest Danish folk music!
The two groups have extensive experience playing at dances, and Nordisk Dans Aarhus will be ready to assist and guide you through partner-based and joint dances. So, grab one, two, or more dance partners by the arm, or show up by yourself and be a part of a warm and cozy evening! If you don’t have the courage to dance, you should go anyway as the music and atmosphere are all an experience in themselves.

With Kongsted, Thorhauge and Nielsen you will get an evening you won’t forget! All muscles are activated - even the once you use for laughing. The trio plays fun partner dances for the benefit of those looking for a partner in crime and various joint dances for those who like to spend the evening in the arms of several different persons. Rejoice both yourself and the others by letting yourself loose to the lovely folky tones from Kongsted, Thorhauge and Nielsen.

Mens Vi Venter På Bølgen
Mens Vi Venter På Bølgen-Band is a project based on folk ball music. Here, old classics are developed and combined with new compositions. The sextet has great traditional awareness and skill as well as an inspiring will to renew the genre and shake it up! The band merges new folk music from Kristine Heebøll with old songs from the world of playrooms and the planet of folk dances. This is how they contribute to the everlasting life of the traditions!
