BETROELSER OM SOLLYS - An immersive listening experience for all the senses!
Close to the winter solstice, when days are shortest and light is scarce, we invite you to sink into the darkness and awaken your inner ‘sun’.
Sunlight is essential to us - but how and how much it touches our skin varies with geography and climate, shaping our identity in concrete and subtle ways. Based on interviews with Danes and people with other geographical origins living in Denmark, this project explores a kaleidoscope of personal, cultural, and spiritual connections to light.
With blindfolds on, the audience will be guided to their seats. While our eyes rest, the rest of our senses can open up to experience a musical, poetic and sensorial performance about humans’ relationship with the sun. An intimate listening experience woven together by wordless music and speaking voices sharing memories, emotions and reflections about sunlight.

GHOST VOICES - A musical and physical dialogue with the past
From the darkness, light will fall on a lonely human at the center of a circle; perhaps he lives on an island in the middle of the sea. He starts a physical dialogue with the sounds of voices and songs chanted by people long gone.
The man is about to perform a ritual to celebrate what was. We hear fishermen screaming, preparing to hunt. Women lamenting the death of their children. The sound of bombs from afar - a war may be going on. Everything is enclosed on the threshold between the living and the dead. Everything is open. Everything is invisible and hearable, like ghost voices from the past.
