AddisAbabaBand is cosmic music with deep inspiration from the legendary icons of African music. In addition to the rhythm group, organ, and guitar, the large orchestra includes a sharp wind section that makes you feel their Afro-Funky vibrations in both your legs and chest.

Over the last ten years, AddisAbabaBand has played on multiple stages in Denmark and abroad, including Roskilde Festival and sold-out concerts at Alice Cph. and Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

The band's latest album won an award from The Danish Art Foundation, and the band has been nominated for several other awards, including the Carl Nielsen award and the Danish Music Awards.

At this moment, AddisAbabaBand has just been to Dead Rat Studio where they have recorded four new tracks for their upcoming EP. which is released in spring and celebrated with a big tour that now stops by turkis.

Before and after the concert, DJ Sab will spin records that sends you straight into the right Saturday mood with a mix of Roots & Hybrid, Balkan style, Afrobeat, contemporary roots folk, oriental dub, reggae, desert blues, and rock.

DJ Sabs is a truly fiery soul with an always surprising and aligned choice of music. With a background in the world of anthropology, an inexhaustible curiosity for contemporary folk music in all its forms, and a job as a manager for several renowned roots bands, DJ Sabs knows her way around the corners of the Danish and international global roots music landscape. Give her a stage, a pair of speakers, and a mixer, and you’ll get a DJ with a great understanding of the musical journeys and developments across borders, traditions, and ideas.
