APOLLO: NETWORK FOR MUSIC CREATORS AND AUTUMN CLUB
25/9/2024 - 18/12/2024
Class begins: 16:00 // Class ends: 20:30
WHAT IS APOLLO?
Apollo is a network for songwriters, producers, and composers, where everyone is welcome regardless of genre and experience level. The purpose of the network is to create a committed community that can uplift, develop, and inspire participants across the board.
The host and facilitator for Apollo is musician/songwriter Marc Facchini, who has been active since 2010 as a touring, recording, and performing musician, both in various band contexts and as a solo artist. Today, Marc Facchini primarily works as a solo artist, as well as a teacher and facilitator, including at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
The Apollo network will meet seven times at turkis during the autumn/winter of 2024. Five of the meetings will be facilitated, while two of the meetings are for the network alone. The individual sessions are structured around professional debate, feedback sessions, and various types of external input, as well as communal dining. For each session, participants are required to bring a work/piece of music in progress, and in small groups, present their work to each other and receive tailored feedback. It is acknowledged that sharing one’s art and receiving feedback can be sensitive.
Apollo accommodates 20 participants. The selection process will focus on achieving as much diversity as possible in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, genres, and experience levels.
