VERONIKA RUD
Veronika Rud is a Danish jazz singer, composer, and songwriter from Aarhus. With a deep love and understanding of musical traditions, as well as equal inspiration from the modern jazz scene and new sounds, Veronika Rud finds herself in a curious tension between tradition and innovation.
Her music is primarily rooted in Nordic jazz, characterized by a soundscape that is both cold and warm at the same time. At the same time, the music draws threads to the traditional jazz scene, with curious improvisations and playful rhythms.
In Veronika Rud's lyrical universe, she addresses everyday scenarios and completely relatable emotions, where the small quirks of language are used to paint vivid images for the listener. For the singer, it is important that the songs open their own small worlds that one can step into and take part in. She uses both Danish and English, depending on what emerges during the creative process. She shares the sweet, the sour, and the strange inner life, taking the listener on a little journey that will hopefully move and connect people across different preferences, backgrounds, and experiences.

ELJO
In the borderland between the acoustic and the electronic, ELJO creates a sonic universe with elements from both modern Nordic jazz and minimalist electronic music. With Elias Lykkeskov and Johannes Bohn on keyboards and drums respectively, ELJO is a unique live concert experience, where all elements – both electronic and acoustic – are performed live on stage. The creative starting point for ELJO was an ambition to push musical boundaries by combining programmed and repetitive electronic music with improvisational jazz. Both Elias and Johannes started their musical careers as jazz musicians but independently experienced a kind of burnout from the jazz scene's performance race and competitiveness.
