Join us for Denmark's largest emerging theater competition, Teaterbattle, coming to turkis!

In the competition, all aspiring performing artists get 10 minutes to present an idea for a performance to a professional jury, which will provide brief feedback afterward. Besides the jury, there's always a large audience and a group of volunteers who help make the event more of a celebration of creativity than just a competition.

Over the years, Teaterbattle has become an event where we, young theater enthusiasts, have the chance to connect with the professional world and experience magical days filled with performances. Teaterbattle has long been held at Teaterhuset in Copenhagen, but we aim to make this concept a national gathering for emerging performing artists. That’s why we’re bringing it to Aarhus for the first time in the fall of 2024.

Teaterbattle was created to bring Denmark's upcoming theater talents together in a challenging and educational environment focused on emerging theater. It’s all about coming together around the performing arts, inspiring each other, networking, and introducing both the audience and other participants to new ways of thinking about theater. By bringing Teaterbattle to Aarhus, we hope to create a broader artistic community, in part by establishing collaborations between Kulturkapellet Aarhus, Teater Katapult, Kaos Teater, Quonga, turkis, and the professional performing arts world.
