AYSAY

In the tension between Anatolia's musical traditions, hand-played instruments and electronic productions, AySay's unique expression arises.

For the active listener, AySay's music is colorful, interwoven and surprising. For the dancing listener, the music will be groovy and uplifting. And for those who use music for an inner journey, Luna Ersahin's voice and lyrics will show depth, honesty and hope. In Turkish, Danish and Kurdish, she creates a fascinating universe in AySay together with Aske Døssing Bendixen and Carl West Hosbond.

Most recently, they have won in three DMA Roots categories: Name of the Year, Album of the Year (Su Akar) and Luna Ersahin as Composer of the Year. The band's critically acclaimed debut album 'Su Akar' was released in the fall of 2021, and in the fall of 2023 they are going on a big tour of Denmark that will take them from Samsø to Copenhagen, and maybe you can also look forward to new music from the band in the near future.

KÖZ

The flourishing Aarhusian band Köz fuses genres and styles from distant lands with modern western tones. The music encourages dancing as well as reflection. Rock, hip-hop, jazz and Afro-grooves are mixed with odd tones and time signatures and melancholic floating universes from the cold north.

In the band there is no hierarchy or designated songwriters. The numbers are created in the room when all band members are present, and usually start from a small idea or improvisation session.

Therefore, KÖZ's music comes into its own when the band performs live and the interaction between the band members on stage, and not least with the audience, lifts the project to its full potential. Earlier this year, the band played at Spot Festival, as well as warming up for Junglelyd and AddisAbabaBand; And has an EP release just around the corner.
